Class 12th Science (GSEB)
What is science stream for?
The Board offers two options for science students. One is PCB which includes subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. PCM is the other one that has Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects. In preparing for the examination, students require to put in more hard work and a solid plan of action.
The science stream is an educational pathway that focuses on subjects related to the natural world, scientific principles, and quantitative reasoning. It typically includes subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Here’s a brief description of some of the core subjects you might encounter in the science stream:
Physics: Physics explores the fundamental principles governing the behavior of matter and energy in the universe. It covers topics such as mechanics, electricity, magnetism, optics, and quantum mechanics.
Chemistry: Chemistry studies the composition, structure, properties, and changes of matter. It includes areas like organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry.
Biology: Biology is the study of living organisms and their interactions with each other and the environment. It covers topics such as genetics, ecology, evolution, physiology, and cell biology.
Mathematics: Mathematics is a foundational subject that provides tools for analyzing and solving problems in various scientific fields. It includes areas like calculus, algebra, geometry, and statistics.
Computer Science: Some science streams also include computer science, which deals with algorithms, programming, data structures, and computational problem-solving.
Students in the science stream often develop skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis. This pathway can lead to various career opportunities in fields like medicine, engineering, research, environmental science, and technology.
