What is NEET exam is for?

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programmes in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
 

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects from a recognized board. Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.

It is not a matter of concern as candidates can apply to any state except J&K for AIQ seats in NEET. However, the best pick, in this case, would be to choose the state where the permanent address of the candidate is or to go for the state where the applicant has complete domicile eligibility for 85% state quota seats

NEET Syllabus primarily covers NCERT syllabus from classes 11 & 12 of all the subjects

They can enter the earliest year of passing if they have taken up an improvement exam to obtain good scores and not because they didn’t achieve success. If not cleared and preparing to appear again for some subjects, then enter as appearing and select code 01 as the code of the qualifying exam

4 marks will be allotted for every right response. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. No marks will be awarded if left unanswered

NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is an offline exam with a time duration of 3 hours. A total of 180 MCQs is asked in the NEET exam from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each question carries 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.
